Los Siete Picos is one of the most important mountain massifs in the Sierra de Guadarrama. Siete Picos is sandwiched between the port of Fuenfría to the west, the port of Navacerrada to the east, the Valsaín valley to the north and the Navalmedio valley to the southeast.
Its north face belongs to the municipality of Real Sitio de San Ildefonso (Segovia) and the south to Cercedilla (Madrid).
Some of the curiosities of this crest are that from its top you can see the three mountain ranges of the Community of Madrid (Gredos, Guadarrama and Somosierra-Ayllón), during the Middle Ages it was known as the Sierra del Dragón due to its resemblance to the back of these mythological beings so fashionable at the time.
