From June 28 to August 31, the Nature Train will bring its passengers closer to the heart of the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park for them to discover its natural, cultural and social values.
The experience begins in an old electric train car parked on a siding at the Cercedilla station. There, the participants will begin to become familiar with the Sierra del Guadarrama through an audiovisual projection.
Afterwards, the journey begins on a narrow-gauge train through a unique landscape of mountains and pine forests. During the journey (Cercedilla-Puerto de Navacerrada-Los Cotos) travelers will receive explanations from the team at the “Valle de La Fuenfría”.
Visitor Center, which will oversee guiding the route. Upon arrival at Puerto de Cotos, passengers will get off the train to discover on foot, in a guided itinerary, one of the most beautiful areas and the Guadarrama: the lower part of Peñalara. The return is made on the same train to the Cercedilla station in the early afternoon.
The Program is carried out by the Department of the Environment of the Community of Madrid, in collaboration with RENFE-Cercanías Madrid.

The activity begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Cercedilla railway station, where the team from the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park “Valle de La Fuenfría” Visitor Center will receive the participants and accompany them throughout the day.
